| AVIGNON In the south of France there is an old and ornate town that is over-flowing with art, beauty and history. My Wilmington friends, in order to make their travel connections elsewhere, needed to locate the train station in Avignon. They consulted their guidebook, they consulted their language translator, they attempted communication—all to no avail. Finally, Bobby, in desperation, approached an elderly man and motioned up and down with his right fist while saying “Choo-Choo.” This was all that was needed for them to finally receive directions to the depot. “C est la vie!” |
